The 7th Eurovision Young Dancers Competition final was held in the Teatr Muzyczny of Gdynia, Poland on June 17, 1997. A total of 13 countries took part this time on the semi-final that took place on the same venue 6 days before. In that semi-final, 7 countries were chosen for the Great Final, where Spain, with the dancer Antonio Carmena San José, won the Contest. Four countries withdrew for this Contest (Austria, Switzerland, Norway and France) and 2 new countries took part (Slovakia and Latvia). However, both Switzerland and Norway broadcast it, together with the 13 participating countries and, for the very first time, Ireland. ==Format== The format consists of dancers who are non-professional and between the ages of 16–21, competing in a performance of dance routines of their choice, which they have prepared in advance of the competition. All of the acts then take part in a choreographed group dance during 'Young Dancers Week'. Jury members of a professional aspect and representing the elements of ballet, contemporary, and modern dancing styles, score each of the competing individual and group dance routines. Once all the jury votes have been counted, the two participants which received the highest total of points progress to a final round. The final round consists of a 90-second 'dual', were each of the finalists perform a 45-second random dance-off routine. The overall winner upon completion of the final dances is chosen by the professional jury members.〔 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Eurovision Young Dancers 1997」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
